Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple, Vontimitta

Divine Intervention: Our Miraculous Darshan at Vontimitta

They say that when you set out on a spiritual journey, your patience will be tested, but your faith will be rewarded. Our trip on January 15th was a perfect example of this.

A Testing Start

Our journey didn't begin exactly as planned. We were mindful of Raghu Kalam (1:30 PM – 3:00 PM) and had hoped to depart by 1:00 PM. We had our bags packed and ready in the parking lot, waiting eagerly. However, due to some unforeseen delays, our car didn't arrive until 2:00 PM.

Despite the late start, we kept our spirits high. As we loaded our bags and took our seats, we let out a powerful shout of "Sath Guru Nath Ki Jai!" and finally hit the road.

The Race Against Time

My heart was set on visiting the ancient Vontimitta Kodandarama Swamy Temple. I knew the temple doors usually close at 8:00 PM, and I urged the driver to take that route. The driver was hesitant, fearing we wouldn't make it in time and that the detour would be wasted.

As evening fell, it seemed he might be right. But faith works in mysterious ways.

The 7:45 PM Miracle

At 7:45 PM, I glanced at Google Maps and realized we were incredibly close. I told the driver, "Stop at Vontimitta! Even if the doors are closed, I just want to stand before the temple."

By the grace of Lord Rama, as we pulled up, the doors were wide open! Even though it was Makara Sankranti and the crowds were heavy, the atmosphere was electric. We joined the queue, waited patiently, and were blessed with a magnificent Darshan that felt personally ordained.
