Kanakaduraga Temple

Early morning we woke up and ready ourselves and started for kanaka durga temple. van driver arranged one big share auto to accommodated 10 persons for a local trip. he has to show kanaka durga temple, magalagiri temple and drop at railway station before 2 pm. it cost 1600/- We thought the crowd will be more and wait 2 - 3hrs in the queue so we skipped the bath in the krishna river.

We went to kanakadurga temple it is in a small hillock  on the banks of krishna river. Auto went near to temple. We went in 20/- queue in the path we purchased the tickets, went inside.  kankadurga was in red saree the face is covered with chandan as if looks in the photo pictures the white flowers are decorated very nicely on her. then we had darshan of vinayaga, nataraja,and subramanya.  one room there is a kumkuma archana is going on most of them purchased the red and yellow mixed thread and tie it in the hand.

krishna river and the 3 bridges are visible from here. It is nice to watch the city from some high rise area. We went to Mangalagiri panaka narasima temple. In magalagiri we had our breakfast vijaya patti told pesarattu dosa is very famous in vijayawada so we ordered and tasted it. It is spicy they have cut some green chilies and placed inside the dosa.

Panaka narashima temple is in the hill the auto and other vehicles go to the top near temple. We waited for 20 - 30 minutes had a darshan of panaka narashima. We have to purchase a 50/- ticket for panaka and prasada tickets in the queue. The small narashima showing only face to us. His mouth is opened the bhattar have one sanku(conch) he just takes the panaka from our vessel and feeds narashima and hurried us to move the place is full of dark we are not satisfied as the panaka is not fully poured on narashima mouth.  We have not taken any water bottles so we just emptied our panaka by drinking. We climbed 40 steps to have darshan of mahalakshmi. It is a small swayambu maha lakshmi in the hill.  Before entering, in the right we can see the small stone which says the Vallabhar visited here. In left side a small cave vishnu is there. Another cave Rangatha swamy is there. Another path goes to ground floor.

Then we came from the hill to see the lakshmi narashima temple in the ground.

laskshmi narashima tower is very big and nice. All three sides have tower. One side the tower was not constructed. It is like a mottai gopuram in srirangam. The Lakshmi narashima is feast to our eyes. He was wearing yellow and orange colour dress. thayar wearing the blue colour saree. Golden kaasha makes the god brighter. Outer sannithi two urchava moorthys are present here. Urchava murthy face also like narashima. it is not ukra the face is full of karunya.

Left side thayar sannithi. thayar was wearing the bright yellow saree. Top two hands having lotus flower, the lower one showing the apaya hasta and vardha hasta. there is no crowd. so waited for some time and try to capture the thayar with our eyes to heart. We don’t have mind to come out of the sannithi. Prostraced before dwajastambam.

Went to room and waited for 45 minutes and reached vijayawada station at 1.30. Taken Jan shatabdi from Vijayawada to Chennai it started at 2.50 pm reached chennai at 10 pm
