Ujjain Mahakaleswar & Omkareshwar Jothirling darshan - Part 2


30-04-17 Sunday

Early morning 12AM all woke up and taken bath in the room. rushed to the basma aarthi queue.we have taken rental cups for abishekam.
In the counter they check all aadhar card and entry slips. Then allowed us in the queue. before us 100 -150 person are there. 
We half slept in the queue.few were chanting mantra.Sharp 4AM TV sets are ON. the queue started moving. Room is vibrated with HARA HARA MAHADEV HARA HARA MAHADEV" in the slope every one was running, person in the corner advice us to come fast.i just filled water in my jug and rushed to the mahakal karpa grigham poured water on mahakal with my son srinath
the persons are telling quick & quick. after our turn. only few are allowed.only 30 minutes allowed for abhishekam we are fortune to do the abishekam. W sit in the hall.earlier lot of peoples are sitting there.
we also went and seated where ever the small gap is available. Then priest done the milk abihsekam & curd abishekam.
then priest done the decoration on linga, then covered with small cloth. started applying basha the fast he moves his hand the basma flows more, after that he removed the cloth. the Shiva was fully covered with basma.
then aarthi started he moved the aarthi several times and went inside done aarthi for kali. come back and done aarthi for nandhi.
finally all lights are swiched off the aarthi was done to basma shiva for long time. it was pin drop silence. then bells started ringging, Persons started clapping. the place is vibrating with "HARA HARA MAHADEVA"
After few minutes the lights came. aarthi stopped. all got up from there place and slowely moved out.

Then we came to room and packed the bags and vacated the rooms. setted in 2 cars tavera & Ertiga.Time was 7:30
we have refreshed in the middle of our journey with Poha & tea.
we reached Mandasaur Pasupathinath temple at 10:30. It was a time for Sringar & bhog time so waited and watched both. the prayer at the time of Sringar was known to all person in the place so they enjoyed reciting it.
then with Pursha stutha sringar was done we also joined in the recitation.
the Main priest comes with food for Bhog. he went inside the doors are closed.
the big drums and big thalams are beated heavely & rthymly. at a pause all recited "Hara Hara Mahadev"
the vibration in the place was spell bounding. then aarthi done for pasupathi nath. then we toched prayed & touched the pasupathi nath. 

Started to Omkareshwar time was 11:30
Around 3PM we stopped for lunch went to Omkareshwar around 5PM.
Hired a boat to cross the river to get the darshan of omkareshwar.it is just oppsite side. Approximate 50 steps to reach the Omkareshwar. while walking the step there is one samll cave. in that only Adishankarar met his guru Govindapada. Guru given Sanyasa to him.  Omkareswar lingam is small decorated well and protected with Glass. it is very  good.

The above one is a small water stream flows to Narmadai n the boat ghat. A small shiva is there.

then we came in the same boat and visited Mumleswar.

Then return to Indore stayed at Hotel samrat. for two cabs we have paid 7500/- per cab and 15000/- for two cabs.


01-05-17 Monday

Went to local visit. went to vaishnavi devi temple & annapoorani temple returned to hotel. vacated room at 1 PM and went to railway station for 4:40PM train.(22645-Ahilya Nagari SF Express)
taken lunch near railway station. packed for night also.
taken mango juice it was very tasty.

train started perfect 4:40 PM. train was late between 30  to 50 minutes  but reached Chennai  central 10 min before schedule arrival 11:10 PM. we are happy and taken one fast track cab and reached and 11:50 PM home.

Ujjain Mahakaleswar & Omkareshwar Jothirling darshan - Part 1


We started from Chennai to visit Ujjain Mahakaleswar.
We have taken the Tamilnadu express train 10pm from Chennai central.
it reached Bhopal 8:45Pm next day.30 min late. then we took Bhopal to Ujjain train 23:40 taken 40 min late and reached Ujjain 30 min late, reached at 3:00 AM

Taken autos to Mahakaleswar dharmasala where we have booked our rooms through internet. this is run by temple it self. room was clean & tidy.
Woke up around 5 Am and went to take bath in SHIPRA river. it is walk-able distance from our place. Rudra sagar lake in the right side was dry & left side was with little water
the river was big. lights are there in the ghats.hence we have taken a bath and rushed to our rooms. refreshed our self and went to have darshan of Ujjan Mahakaleswar. The temple was medium in size. we went joined in the queue. The queue moves at normal speed. The queue moves to hall in serpent snake form. the hall was decorated with beautiful paintings. The siva drinking poison picture was awesome. In TV live mahakaleswar darsan was going on. So the time moves very fast. then the queue moves down slide(slope), All run to get the glimpse of Mahakaleswar. From 10 meter distance we are allowed to have darshan. It was 3-4 feet shiva linga. we had good darshan. the persons are telling us to move like Tirupathy.

then we came out joined the queue to get the basma aarthi for next day. We have to shows our original aadhar cards. they gives one form only 5 person name be listed in 1 forms.
hence we taken 3 forms and filled all 15 names. In the forms they will write one token number. from 8:30 AM they are asking us come with filled forms along with persons.
our token number is 49,50 & 51. we have taken the POHA and tea as our morning break fast from the nearby shop. Poha is avval uppuma, on top of it they put some karasev and spice powder. our family members liked it.

Then waited at the counter. we booked the local site seeing for the group.
our turn come went in line they have taken aadhar card photo & our photo and give the entry slips for Basma Aarthi. Then we went for local site seeing in lengthy share auto.

Bhartrihari Caves
The Bhartrihari Caves are situated on the bank of River Shipra, adjacent to the temple of Gadkalika. There is a traditional belief that at this very spot, Bhartrihari, who is known as the stepbrother of Vikramaditya, lived and meditated. few places our very low ceiling. we have to bend half our body to go inside. in one side we have to walk down the narrow steps to go down. all kids are enjoyed it. but elder person not came inside.even the outside temperature was 40 degree. inside was very cool.

Gadkalika Temple
very famous temple. Only gadkali face is there. Famouse poet kalidas prayed this kali to get the powers to write poetry. Saraswathi & lakshmi are there in two sides of Gadkali

Kal Bhairava Temple
The most important among the eight bhairavas of the Shaivites is Kal Bhairava, which has been built under the benefaction of King Bhadresen, on the bank of River Shipra at Ujjain. A mention of Kal Bhairava is found in the Avanti Khanda of the Skanda Purana. There is a tradition in this temple to offer liquor, The priest just put liquor and keep in kalbairav mouth.kalbairav drinks it. He again does the same thing kalbairav drinks again.hence balance is taken as prasad. It is phenomenal, we waited and watched this. even the priest told us to move and give way for others.

Siddhavat 
Siddhavat is a huge banyan tree that has flourished on the bank of River Shipra and holds immense religious importance,
like the Akashyavat in Prayag and Gaya and the Panchavat of Nasik.
Priest said that the Mughal rulers cut off the banyan tree and they covered the entire area with iron sheets to restrict the growth of the tree. However, this sacred tree pierced the iron sheets and flourished significantly.

Mangalnath Temple.

Here Lot of persons are doing the pariharam for sevvai dosham.
In one plate the RICE is made in the shape of linga swaroopa. it remebered the anna abishekam. In the right side bhuvaneswari amman is there.

Sandipani Ashram
Lord Krishna and Sudama studied here.
Balrama also seen here. the dressing in pink colour all the three is very good.
there is big tank is there. the design was very good.

we came back taken lunch in the mahakal annadhan. We reached room every one was tired and started relaxing. Suddenly kanaka patti told she lost the back. everyone went to the annadhan counter, shoe rack place etc.
Ramdass uncle told you are having the back in your hand after finishing lunch.then we searched in the room.Eureka found the bag.

Few went for to have darshan of mahakal. few slept well in the room. The rain was pouring outside. After 7pm it was stopped. we went outside and visited the bade ganesh mandir. Rain started again. so we came back. taken food and started sleeping early.

we went to bade ganesh mandir. Here Ganesh is with his wife's siddi & bhuddi. it is very rare to see ganesh with wives.

inside Hanuman with 5 faces. in the foot there is a person. it is peculiar. there is a navagraha and duraga devi also.
