Sathuragiri trip - 12-05-11
We planned to have a saturagiri trip for nearly 2 years. But lord Shiva given the permission for our trip only on 12-05-2011. It was a Friday evening we started from our office at 6.00pm.our troup people names Gurumoorthy, Siva, Saravanan, Prabhakar,Ramesh,Murthy, Saravanan, Thiyagarajan,Durai, Balaji,and Kalanidhi.We booked a tourister van from avadi. We had a dinner at Tindivanam, and went to Srivilliputhur via trichy, Madurai.We refreshed ourselves in Srivilliputhur, Went to thaanipaarai via Krishnan koil. This is the saturagiri hill bottom. Most of the people will walk from here. We started to walk in the forest area. (8.00am). after few yards we had the bath in the small water falls flows from the saturagir hill.(8.20am) Then we started the walk. A small pillayar temple was there it is called ashirvatha pillayar temple. Near by Rajarajeswari temple & Vana pechiamman temples are located. We had a darshan of all the three temples.
