Vittalapuram temple visit -18-09-2011

We started from our home at 6am went to vittalapuram temple.
after mahapalipuram on the ECR. we enquired everyone on the way to vittalapuram temple.the temple is just 1 - 2km from the highway.Because it is a branch road from ECR. difficult to get the correct cut road.There is sign board to vittalapuram temple.
The moolavar name is Premika vittalan.
it is medium size temple. the atomosphere is very calm.
In most of the vittal temples we can see vittalan with rukmini. here bama also joined with vittalan. the swamy's are in standing position approximate 6ft tall. look like live perumal was standing infornt of us.
it was a pleasent morning only 4 or 5 persons with us so the battar told the everyone to chant "HARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE.. There is was a no power. so we can see the real swamys face at that time. there are separate sannithi for lakshmi, venkatachapathy, Varadharajar and viswaksenar.
Temple timings-
Morning 7.30 to 10.30
Evening 4.30 to 07.30

We heard Share autos available from kalpakkam busstand.

Then we moved to Thirulkalukundaram shiva temple.

Arulmigu Tirupurasundari udanurai Vedhagirishwarar Temple

There are two shiva temple one in the hillok, it is very famous. one in the town it was one of the paadal petra stalam.We visited the temple in the town.it was big. in this temple tank once in 12 years one chanku(counch) will comes out. we saw the counch which came one week before. they placed in the glass box with other old chanku's. this time it was the smaller in size, colour also slightly dusty not white.

Then we went to Thiruporur Murugan temple and returned home for the lunch.

we went in tavera per km 8.50/- Total trip cost 2000/-

Malleswaram Temple visit on 21st July 2011

On 21st July I went for an official visit to my Bangalore office. finishing my office chores. I plan to visit any temple. My colleague Alagarswamy told me, he is planning to visit the kaatu malleswara temple as it is close to his home. He invited me, I accepted without any hesitation. So we went to below temples..
Kaadu Malleswara Temple
A small temple. Main shirne is Shiva looks like Kasi viswanatha. Very small linga swarupa. In left side kasi viswantha is also present here. Next Ganaesha. in right side Venkatachalapathy is there. In Prahara Dhakshinamurthy, Muruga, Anjaneya sannidithi are there. Malleswaram got his name from this temple only. It is very famous and old temple.

Lakshmi Narashima Temple
Next to Kaadu Malleswara Temple Lakshmi Narashima Temple. It is very nice to have a darsan. Thayer is in the lap Of narashima. We went on an utsav day, the urchavar for decorated as Venkatachalapathy it is a feast for our eyes.

Nandi theertha temple
This temple was recently discovered in 1999 by Karnataka Govt.
The beauty in the temple is water flows from the Nandi mouth is collected in a bowl placed above the shivalinga.It flows continuously on the shivalinga this turns lord Shiva Happy because he is abisheka priya. Some says it is Natural some says it is artificial. It may be in any form, We Love to see again and again.

Gangaamma Temple
Temple is small. Maintenance was very good the place is Neat and tidy. Moolava ganga is very nice. But my heart goes with the Deity placed in the prahara. It was very live. Looks like the Gangaamma sitting on the chair. The decorations are very good. Ever though gangamma is holding the sword in her hand the eyes is filled with Mercy.Urchava amma is placed in the mirror room. The dress fitting was very aptly suited for her.

Navagraha Trip 29th May 2011 Sunday

First went to Sarvanga sundari temple in karuveli. Very neat and tidy. The temple is example to other temple. It was very clean. The path is covered with soft carpet.
The temple tank is big. Ambal is very beautiful the name aptly suites her.









Went to maruthugudi and watched the abishekam of sastha. Next seen padai kaavadi mariamman. It is very famous one. The maha mariamman another name is seethala devi. Small ambal adorned velli kavacham.next went to thirukarukavur mullaivalanathar.
It is believed we have to see five pooja in the five temples in a single day. These temples are grouped as PANCHA ARANYA STALANGAL.(5 Forest places)
6.00 am – Mullaivalanathar—Thirukarugavur.
8.00 am – Satchinatha swamy –Avanivannallur
12.00 pm – pathaleswara swamy—Harithuvara Mangalam
5.30 pm – aapathsakayeswarar –alangudi
8.30 pm – Vilvaranyeswarar- thiruvallamputhur

Last one we are not able to go due the road block, other temples we covered in half day.

The first slokam should be recited in 2nd month
The first  & second slokam should be recited in 3nd month
every month the next month sloka should be added to the earlier slogas.

Navagraha Trip 28th May 2011 Saturday

Hi friends
I went to below temples last week.
We (Kana paati, Naganatha chittappa, Viji chiti,Vanchi, Vidya,Akshaya,Gayathri Bhavani and Srinidhi)started from Chennai to Panchavadi anjaneyar 36feet temple. It is bigger than Nanganallur anjaneyar 32feet. Now a days we cant see the back side mukam. Before construction it was visible.

Then went to prathyangira devi temple. It was very big nice.


Then went to Pondy Manakula vinayar temple. The temple was fully air conditioned, so very nice to stay inside for some time. The painting in the hall was very good treat for eyes.


Then visited Aravindar Ashram, as usual the crowd is only visible as there is no sound in the premises. The flower decoration was good. Next visited Thiruvanthipuram Devanatha swamy temple had a good darsan at the closing time. Due to the heavy rush we are able to see the temple at 12.30 pm generally it will be closed at 12.00pm.
Evening went to Thirukadaiyur abirami. it is one of the Ashta Veeratta sthalams.
Very famous for sastithepurthi. Famous bhaktha Abhirami Bhattar wrote abirami anthati for this god. Next went to Thirunallaru sani bhagavan. It was abishekam timeso we enjoyed watching the abishegam few minutes.


next visited Uppiliappan night aarthi was performed at the time we enjoyed watching.

Then moved to thirunageswaram main sanithanam was closed we watched thedolostavam. Harivarasanam was played in the nadaswaram. The priest was slowly moving the unjal sivan & parvathi was sitting in the red bed. Shiva was adorned with white dress and parvathi adorned with green dress. A simple jasmine mala was placed in the backside of the unjal. It was very scintillating our mind. We got milk & mixed rice with vada prasadam.

Sathuragiri trip - 12-05-11

We planned to have a saturagiri trip for nearly 2 years. But lord Shiva given the permission for our trip only on 12-05-2011. It was a Friday evening we started from our office at 6.00pm.our troup people names Gurumoorthy, Siva, Saravanan, Prabhakar,Ramesh,Murthy, Saravanan, Thiyagarajan,Durai, Balaji,and Kalanidhi.We booked a tourister van from avadi. We had a dinner at Tindivanam, and went to Srivilliputhur via trichy, Madurai.We refreshed ourselves in Srivilliputhur, Went to thaanipaarai via Krishnan koil.
This is the saturagiri hill bottom. Most of the people will walk from here.
We started to walk in the forest area. (8.00am). after few yards we had the bath in the small water falls flows from the saturagir hill.(8.20am)
Then we started the walk. A small pillayar temple was there it is called ashirvatha pillayar temple. Near by Rajarajeswari temple & Vana pechiamman temples are located.
We had a darshan of all the three temples. The path was very rough
The path was muddy and loose soil in some place. In some place it was rocky. Only in few places we have to walk in narrow muddy path.
First we come across vazuku parai. The rock is like a slope so it is got the name. (9.00am).After few meters we crossed the water (oddai) path, holding the chain we have to move so the place is called sankali parai.( 9.15am). Then we reached a dense forest it is called atri maharishi vanan (9.30). Then we reached the kona thalai vasal
The path is very narrow and rocky (9.45). Then we reached kaaram pasu thadam. It is believed that kamadenu’s foot mark.(9.55). Then we reached korakar kugai (10.20). This is situated in the river. So we have to walk few steps down from our path. It is not in the main route. We had a good darshan of Shiva & Korakkar. The lord Shiva was wearing a beautiful rose turban. korakar eyes and beard are very beautiful. Suddenly one old lady came here given the aarthi and prasadam to the shiva & korakar. While doing the aarthi She put the conch (shanku) and make sound the place is vibrated in the sound. Then the lady priest gave the prasadam to all of us. We are all satisfied and thinking of lord’s mercy.
From here we have to walks for bohar kugai But due to the tough path, we cancelled our plan and walk back to the main route.
We had a darshan of irratai lingam (10.50).
we crossed the naaval ootru (11.10) we filled our water bottles here.
we reached vana duragai (11.40)
we reached karuppa swami temple (12.10)
we reached Sundara Mahalingam (12.30)
we reached Santhana Mahalingam (1.10)
here we seen a small kugai for satanathar. Then akash ganga river. We had a good free food here and walk towards thaaniparai and reached at evening 5.30pm.
