Ahobilam trip
With guru kripa we are fortune to have darshan of ahobilam narashimas.

This is a first time we book a ticket well in advance and planned tour. Our friend seshadri mama called us on one day, said we are planning a tour to ahobilam are you interested. I said yes we will join you if it falls on Saturday & Sunday holidays.
He said we are planned on 28 & 1st of March line with holdiays. We said with out any hesitation yes. I just called my mom to join the tour, but she had different work so unable to join us. So I called my brother in law, he also shown interested to join us with his mother & mother in law.


We started our tour as planed on 28th Feb Friday. I went to office as usual back to home at 6PM. My wife packed the things in order & hurried my child Srinath to finish the home work before I reach home. I checked everything in last min hurry Took an auto to reach mylapore. The TVS LPG auto we got was worst one. Every signal it is started after Himalayan effort. Finally at Meenakshi college signal it is not started we paid the money & moved to different auto to reach kesavaperumal koil. Around 8pm we had darshan of kesavar & prayed for a blessing for the divyadesa darshan. The temple is filled with our tour peoples.

Bus came around 9pm all seated the journey was started. In Thirumazisai we break for our dinner at sivan temple. Then we reached the ahobilam divyadesam in 7am morning next day.
Seshadri uncle made perfect arrangements of booking rooms for all us. We all got rooms. Refreshed with a pongal & coffee. Proceeded towards the hill in the bus. We got down from the bus to climb the hill at 9am. We started from lower ahobilam temple. Most of them plucked the stick to climb the hill.

First reached VARAHA NARASHIMA Temple The main deity Lord Nrishimha in the form of Lord Varaha Carrying Lord Lakshmi with his horn safely. It is about ½ Km from the lower ahobilam.after this the journey to the jwala narashima is very tough. Lots of energy & self confident is needed to pass the way. The path is very rocky & slippery there is no hand rails with narrow path. We had good darshan of JWALA NARASHIMA.with 8 hands. Hiranyakashipu in the lap of Narashima. Then back on same way upto the bridge to take diversion to the MALOLA NARASHIMA.
The sun temperature makes as journey adding fuel to the fire. The trek is very hard to climb we have to climb like a child in few places. We have to climb the hill in one side and get down in the other side to reach malola Narashima. Here 0Perumal with thayar. So the place itself cools with more trees. Drinking water tap here helped to refresh our self & replenish our water bottles. Then we stated downwards to reach LOWER AHOBILAM. Here Perumal with sengunthavali thayar.
Then we take bus to KARANJA NARASHIMA temple. Here you can see the narashima with bow & Arrow,
We returned to ahobila mutt to fill our stomach arakan with full meals.
We started to BHARGHAVA NARASHIMA. This temple we can go by auto or jeep. The journey of 3km is very tough. The road was full of sand & rocky we have to hold the iron bars in the auto to safe guard from falling down.
A small hill with 150 steps. We had nice darshan returned in the same auto.

We then went by bus to YOGA NARSHIMA. Narashima in yoga pose as seen in many temples. Then we moved to SHATRAVADA NARASHIMA. This narashima likes music so few from our group singed here. Then we all chanted Vishnu shahasranamam. in the night we went to LAKSHMI NARSHIMA temple.
Here only all the 9 urchavar are kept. We had good darshan of all urchavars.

Next day we started in early morning 4am in the jeep for the BHAVANA NARASHIMA. The journey was tough one. nearly 25 Kms on the rocky forest.
Here also we have to hold the iron bars very tightly to safe guard ourselves.
Here senchi laskhmi thayar with Perumal. We had good darshan with a happiness of seen all the nine narashimas returned to mutt

We finished our lunch in a hurry। then went to VONTIMITTA rama temple।

Beautiful temple It is famous for its architecture and art.
Moolavar Rama, Sita and Lakshmana carved on a single rock.
The temple is well maintained by ASI। it is treat to for our eyes the temple is surrounded by grass.

Then we reached chennai around 10 pm.

Uttiramerur Trip

We started from our house around (4th October 09) 6.30 in the morning. we reached singaperumal koil had a good darsan here left at 8.15 reached uthiramerur around 10.30

first we went to SUNDARA VARADARAJA TEMPLE here swamy is seen in three forms ninran, irundan, kidanthan thirukolams. Like thiruneermalai. except nandanthan thirukolams.

Here the varadaraja is in ground floorIn the first floor four god can be seen in sitting postureIn the second floor god can be seen in sleeping posture The temple is very good. It is 1200 years old temple.

Near by there is murga temple named BALASUBRAMANYA SWAMY TEMPLE.We walked form the sundara varadara temple it is very close from here.The muruga is in standing posture. 5 feet tall. SWAYAMBHU MURTHY, He was in SANDANA kappu it is very nice see him with this. Temple is very nice. Here god is seen with elephant instead of peacock like tirutani. Because muruga is here before killing the surapatman.

Then we went to ASI maintained VAIKUNDA PERUMAL Vishnu temple adjacent to the bus stand. Here the temple Garpha graham is closed only we can see the old culverts displayed here. Which shows our democracy followed in olden days.

Then we went to Tirupullivanan। It is on the route to kanchipuram from uthiramerur it is 5km. A beautiful temple readying for kumbabishekam. The priest is very patience & helpful. After seeing our car he came and opened nearly 5 to 6 door to get the garbha graham. He explained the uniqueness about the god.

It is the second tallest shiva after kalahasti.

Tirupuvana Nayaki udanurai Thirumakaralishwarar Tirukoil

Then we went to maagaraleswarar temple it is 10 km from here
It is a good temple. It seems lord appeared in the form of udumbu form
It was nice time the abishegam was going on we sit & watched the all the abishekam.
The gurukal is doing the abishekam in slow & steady pace. We enjoyed viewing the abishegam. Finally he done the arthi & nivedanam. Then he distributed the prasadam to all. It is around 1Pm so we are very hungry the Prasadam come as a big relief. It is tasty The kids enjoyed by getting few more times of prasadam

Then we went to thennagur enroute we stopped in the field। To finish our lunch.

Spend the time till 6:30 pm and returned to Chennai around 9:00 pm.

We Hired a tavera 7 seater cost 7/- Per KM total km we traveled 280x7=1960+ 250 batta. The trip cost us 2210/-

Parvathamalai Trip 14th April 2009

One of our friend told parvathamali is the toughest & good one.We are dreaming a trip of paravathamalai for the past 3 months. Finally decided our trip fixed on April 14th 2009 a holiday for the Tamil New Year.

We all started from our office around 1.30 pm after finishing our lunch.
Murthy booked the Van from Sakthi travels with a best discount rate Rs7.50 per KM.
We reached Avadi to pickup another two friends Saravanan & Thiyagaran.

From there we differed our plan of trekking in the morning to Night.
So both Saravanan & Thiyagarajan collected 3 torch lights from their neighbors.

We started from their 3.30Pm and reached

Rathinakiri Temple. A small hillock of 120 steps. We had a good darshan of murugan. We are fortune to have a darshan of Rathinagiri Tavatiru Balamurugan Adimai Swamigal.

We came down had a small refreshment, and then started to Polur.we went via vellore, Arni and reached Polur. We had our dinner in polur and packed our bags with water, bread, chocolates & biscuits. From here it will be around 20km we reached the Kaladi.
This is the place below the paravathamalai upto this place we can go by van.

From here we started for paravathamalai at 9.30PM. we kept our bags in the van taken only the snacks & water with us. we went to veerabadra swami & Renukambal temple.
It is the plain road to reach the bottom of the parvathamali it is around 2KM.
From there it is around 1300 steps. It will take 1 hour. In this place few shops are there.

Next 2 hrs the road is rocky & muddy. We emptied our water bottles. Next is the KADAPARAI PATH in this we walked for 1 hr to reach the top of paravathamalai.
This is the toughest path. Only Kadaparai is placed in the stones to hold our selves.
In this path we have to cross five steep ladders and two bridges.

We reached at 2AM .The temple here is very small no archaks here. So we can do abishekas & arthi for the Lord SHIVA. We touched the linga rupa put water & vibhuthi. The wind is very fast & cool. It cools our body. Our energies are recharged by the shiva dharshan.

We walked down another 41/2 hrs to reach the bottom.
This time our energies are totally lost due to the non availability of water.
In few places we all skid. We crawled few places. Finally we came down at 7AM next day.
