Bangalore Temples – Rajarajeswari temple

We started in our (Rajuganesh & me) bike around 6.00 pm from our office. it was thursday (21-03-13). We planned for this Raja Rajeswari temple it is approximately 10km from Bangalore cantonment. It was very hectic traffic. My friend rides the bike well by moving even in the small gaps we can pass through.

The temple arch is calling us from the mysore highway. We went inside  1 km from the main road we reached the Hugh Rajagopuram.

The construction is still going on. Friend told nearly 8 years the construction is going on. We went through side entrance. The temple is awesome. The dwajasthambam is small. From dwajasthambam we can see the goddess.

The gate and entrance are big.

The goddess Rajarajeswari is in sitting posture. The right leg is crossed and left leg is placed on the lotus flower. The god resemble like a Thirumeeyachur lalithambal. Here also we can put a anklet for rajarajeswari I hope.

The Rajeswari is having four hands. Holding pasa and angusha in behind arms. Sugarcane in left hand.

There is a big garland adorn by god . and some small garlands go I cannot have full view.

In the prabharam pillayar , murugan and utsava moorthys lakshmi sarasvathi and rajarajeswari are there.  Outside the main prabhara navagraha sannithis are there. The temple was resembles like a many years old south indian temple architecture.

The temple was very neat and tidy. The calmness in the temple tell us to do the medidation here. So we sat for few minutes and prostrated before dwajastambam. Then we went to the meru sannithi. the small shrine decorated neatly. the deepam was glowing very beautifully watched for few minutes 

had coffee near the temple the coffee taste is very good. Started at 8.15 reached bangalore at 8.45 PM. there no traffic snarl so we came quickly.

Sri Oppiliappan Pattabhisheka Ramar Temple, Madippakkam, Chennai 91.

From Madipakkam Ram Nagar the god is taken for procession come to theppakulam.
Here the god is placed in Wooden theppam prepared for lord rama.
the Theppam moves from south to north and vice versa for 3 times in theppam ,deeparathanai was performed.it was feast to our eyes.

From 2009 this theppotsavam is performed by Ramar. This is the 5th year the crowd increasing year by year.

Just a Galance about Sri Oppiliappan Pattabhisheka Ramar

Sri Oppiliappan Pattabhisheka Ramar Temple, Madippakkam, kumbhabhishekam was performed on 04/09/1987. with only as a Ramar temple. In year 2002 oppiliappan  was added.

God taken to Chellamal School as part of Pancha Garuda seva from year 2009.

Every year the brahmotsavam was done in grand manner.

 This year with god's grace I am able to enjoy the Brahmotsavam.

Yalli vahana is a combination of Elephant face, Lion Body with wings like bird.

Surya prabhai  vahana in one day with red dress and Chandra prabai vahana one day with white dress along with wife lakshmi. Both wore the white dress the backgrond Chandra prabhai also white. God adorn malligai malai also white it is very nice.

Elephant Vahana ,“asal” is done . it is afeast for our eyes. The god will be moving forward in faster phase, then return in backwards. Like this it is done for 3 times then. God go for the half circle 2 times and 1 full circle third time. Sripadam thangigal will do the great job. Hats of to them

Horse vahana ,  “vedupari “ is performed. In the street the total lights will be switched off. The place is fully covered with darkness. First thirumangai alwar comes in pallakku.The school kids wore a black Durban to cover their face and holding the theepandam follow tirumangai alwar. They make a sound while coming from near the go. They go around 3 times then pasuram will be read out what are the things stolen for the god. After that god takes control of thirumangai alwar.  It is very interesting to watch the vedupari.

Thotta thirumanchanam was performed one day. God has been taken to the nearby place. Archakas doing abishekam . on this day the god is very close to us. We can see the abishekam one by one very clearly and patiently.

Ther festival is celebrated one day. It was very nice that all peoples come enjoy to pull the ther and participate in the event. Few from long distance also came and participate in this event.
